Doreen Cleave

As a Chartered Accountant Doreen has numerous skills which will be used to the benefit and advantage of the Trust. Previously, as Finance Manager of Network Waitaki Ltd she has some knowledge of the Industry and the constraints it operates under, due to compliance with the Commerce Commission.

She strongly believes that we, the Consumers, have the best of both worlds, regarding electricity supply, low costs, excellent services and generous discounts when profits and capital development allow, and is thrilled to be a member of the Waitaki Power Trust and able to continue her relationship with the Company.

Doreen's vision for the Trust is to have a mutually supportive and respected relationship with Network Waitaki Limited. A position that enables the Company to expand as required, to protect and enhance the Trust’s assets as per the objectives of the Trust Deed.  To continue to offer low power prices and to continue to produce reliability standards that are among the best in the country. 

Outside her role as a Trustee, Doreen is involved in the community as:

• a Justice of the Peace and
• a Volunteer Firefighter
